Remix3D.com is an online 3D art community designed to make creating and sharing art accessible to everyone, from beginners to experienced creators. I joined the team at the platform’s inception and helped define the visual look, tone, and foundational design materials that shaped the user experience. One of my first projects was crafting a new-user landing experience that introduced what Remix3D is, how to join the community, and why it matters. This onboarding feature was initially released to Microsoft Insiders and employees. I went on to lead design for multiple new features and contributed broadly to refining the overall site experience.

Welcome To Remix3D

This landing page experience introduces users to who we are and what we offer. It features a short video explaining what remixing means and visually demonstrates the lineage of a 3D model. When an artist creates a model, it can be shared with the community so others can build on it or reinterpret it, a process known as remixing. I also designed a simple collection card system to help users feel oriented and familiar with the interface from the moment the site launched. To further encourage engagement, we highlighted top creators and showcased their work and individual voices, fostering a stronger sense of community involvement.

Dive A Little Deeper

The dashboard view was designed exclusively for creators in the community, offering a comprehensive look at how their models are performing. It provides insights into trending models, popularity patterns, model lineage, chat features, and community feedback. The experience empowers creators to engage more deeply with the 3D community while giving them greater control over how their work is shared, discovered, and experienced.

Find Your Inspiration

The enhanced search experience allows users to quickly find the exact type of 3D model they need. It helps creators filter models by platform compatibility, content type, category, color, style, and recent uploads. Users can also explore community picks and trending 3D objects. This robust search functionality ensures that users can discover content that best fits their creative needs.

Blog About It

In response to user feedback, we created a blog where the community could come together to discuss their passion for 3D art, share tutorials and videos, and engage more naturally with one another. This blog became a central space for learning, collaboration, and inspiration. As with the rest of Remix3D, it is cross-platform and accessible from any device, ensuring the community can connect anywhere, and any time.
